This LUXURY HANDMADE shirt in pure cotton voile by Carlo Riva is the highest expression of handmade tailoring, realized with the finest and most exclusive fabrics in the world. Neck and cuffs are padded by hand with extremely soft canvas from our archives, thanks to a particular technique dating back 80 years ago that leaves the interlining independent to improve neckline fit. Crafted in Como, this ultra-fine voile is light as air, breathable and silky to the touch - a fabric that only Carlo Riva's long-staple yarn can deliver. Individually scissor-cut, garment by garment. Hand topstitching with our exclusive "barchetta" stitch. Hand-sewn buttonholes with bar tacks. Strictly 4mm Australian mother-of-pearl buttons applied by hand with "lily stitching". Sleeve stitching is not aligned with the side seam, as the sleeve is sewn only after the side has been closed. A unique step that can only be done by the skilled hands of our artisans. Ironing and folding are made by hand too.
